Charlie Sheen Staying With “Two and a Half Men,” Details On Salary

In one of the least shocking television stories of a fairly-predictable upfront week, Charlie Sheen has agreed to return to “Two and a Half Men.”

Sheen re-upped for two more seasons, assuring he will be on board for the entirety of the show’s current contract with CBS.

“To put a fitting end on the two and one-half months of whirlwind speculation, I’m looking forward to returning to my CBS home on Monday nights,” said Sheen in a statement Monday. “I want to thank [CBS’] Les Moonves for his support.”

Terms of his per-episode fee were not revealed, but the Los Angeles Times pegs the figure at more than one million dollars per half-hour segment. Deadline’s Nikki Finke added that while the deal does not reach the $1.5-2 million figure that came up in speculation, it is believed to be for more than $1 million per episode, including a backend cut. TMZ’s story says that the deal was not for $2 million but came up considerably from the initial offer (which was “substantially less than half” of $2 million).

The “half” part of the show–child actor Angus T. Jones–is also finalizing a deal to remain on the show, Deadline reports.

“Two and a Half Men” reigns as television’s most-viewed comedy, and it recently has been situated as the third best performer among young adults (behind CBS partner “The Big Bang Theory” and FOX’s “Glee”).
