NBC’s Lineup For Next Season Revealed, “The Event” Gets “Heroes” Timeslot

According to Variety and THR, NBC’s 2010-11 lineup is official, and one of the most notable points is how similar the format looks to the network’s current roster.

Mondays, for instance, will remain a night of dramas–with dramedy “Chuck” leading into serialized “The Event” and new series “Chase.” “The Event,” which has been compared conceptually to FOX’s ending “24,” will fill the slot that “24” and NBC’s “Heroes” once did serious battle (before both shows, particularly “Heroes,” started to bleed viewers).

Tuesdays will remain identical to the current schedule (“The Biggest Loser” and “Parenthood”), while Wednesdays remain dramatic with “Undercovers,” “Law & Order: SVU” and new “L&O” spin-off “Law & Order: Los Angeles.”

Thursdays remain NBC’s night of comedy, this time with “30 Rock” sandwiched in between “Community” and “The Office” at 8:30PM; new series “Outsourced” takes the post-“Office” slot at 9:30PM, while buzzed-about anthology “Love Bites” closes the night at 10PM.

Fridays will be a mix of reality (“School Pride”), news magazine (“Dateline”) and drama (“Outlaw”), while Sundays will include “Football Night in America” and “Sunday Night Football,” with “Dateline,” “Minute to Win it” and “The Celebrity Apprentice” taking over at midseason. Saturday nights will be occupied by repeats.

That leaves “The Cape,” “Harry’s Law,” “Friends with Benefits,” “Perfect Couples,” “The Paul Reiser Show,” “Parks and Recreation,” “The Marriage Ref” and “America’s Next Great Restaurant” with to-be-determined scheduling spots for midseason.

A full NBC press release is due this evening.
