Cory Monteith (“Glee”) and Katie Cassidy (“Melrose Place”) are joining Selena Gomez in upcoming film “Monte Carlo,” reports THR.
Andie MacDowell and Leighton Meester had already been confirmed for the production, which is an adaptation of “Headhunters.” The story centers around a teen (Gomez) being mistaken for a socialite, which results in her and her friends going to Monte Carlo for a charity auction. An adventure element develops when a million-dollar necklace goes missing, causing the girls to go on a search for the piece of jewelry.
Cassidy and Meester play Gomez’s friends, while Monteith serves as her boyfriend, who flies to Europe to pursue her. MacDowell has been booked as her mother.
Filming takes place this spring in a variety of European locales.
