“Seinfeld,” “Curb” Writer Scores Pilot, Actress Returns to “Entourage”

— Larry Charles, whose extensive comedy resume includes writing gigs on “Seinfeld” and “Entourage” and directorial work on “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Borat” and “Bruno,” received a pilot presentation order at CBS.

The order came down for Charles’ semi-scripted project about an unaccomplished British man (Paul Kaye) who moves to Los Angeles to rekindle a relationship with his teenage celebrity daughter.

Charles will direct the pilot from a script written by Ant Hines. Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum and Mitch Hurwitz join the two as executive producers.

— Kate Mara will continue appearing as E’s assistant on the next season of “Entourage.”
