In its second head-to-head airing with “24,” “The Big Bang Theory” saw its ratings rebound well enough to reclaim the adults 18-49 crown from “Two and a Half Men.”
In the battle of CBS comedies, “Bang” jumped to a 5.4 demo rating with 15.51 million viewers. “Two and a Half Men,” on the other hand, dipped to a 5.1 rating but increased its viewership average to 16.51 million. “How I Met Your Mother” (9.28 million, 3.7) and “Accidentally on Purpose” (8.43 million, 3.0) dropped with FOX’s “House” back in the picture at 8PM. “CSI: Miami” wrapped up CBS’ night with a 3.7 and 13.44 million.
On the subject of the FOX dramas, “House” posted a strong 4.8 rating with 13.38 million viewers; “24” was down to a 3.1 with 9.96 million.
ABC’s “The Bachelor” averaged 11.73 million viewers with a 4.1 for its two-hour telecast. On NBC, “Chuck” was down slightly to a 2.4 with 6.73 million viewers. “Heroes” moved upward to a 2.0 with 4.4 million while “The Jay Leno Show” hit a Monday low with a 1.1 and 3.82 million viewers.
“One Tree Hill” (2.14 million, 1.0) and “Life UneXpected” (2.06 million, 1.0) were terrible as usual for The CW.
— Over on cable, FX’s “Damages” declined significantly from last week’s already-disappointing season premiere, posting a 0.2 with 1.02 million viewers. Despite both “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” (2.89 million, 1.1) and “Make It or Break It” (2.16 million, 0.7) falling from last week in total viewers, ABC Family’s “Greek” rose slightly to 1.07 million; it maintained its 0.5 in the demo.
