Conan O’Brien’s Emotional “Tonight Show” Farewell Scores Huge Rating (Video)

Conan O’Brien’s emotional final episode as host of NBC’s “The Tonight Show” scored the late night series’ biggest adults 18-49 rating since O’Brien took over seven months ago.

Preliminary figures reveal that the show, which featured O’Brien’s teary-eyed farewell speech, posted a whopping 4.8 rating in adults 18-49 with a 7.0 household rating. The 4.8 demo rating, astounding for a late-night episode, gave Conan the biggest young adult audience of any single-network show–including primetime series–Friday.

Even more impressive is the fact that the demo rating actually topped the performance of any show Thursday as well.
