TV News: “Heroes” Character Returns, Future For “The Game?”

— Rumors have resurfaced of BET attempting to revive canceled CW series “The Game,” as THR reports that the network is talking with CBS Studios about ordering a new season of the comedy.

Towards the end of last season, series creator Mara Brock Akil pitched turning the show into an hourlong dramedy, as The CW had made it clear it was exiting the sitcom business. The CW ultimately did not pickup the revamped version, and the show was left without a home.

If picked up by BET, the show would remain a half-hour, traditional sitcom.

Because the options on the series’ lead actors have expired, the studio would have to renegotiate pacts to keep the principals on board.

— “Glee” regular Jayma Mays will reprise her role of Charlie for a fourth season episode of “Heroes,” reports Entertainment Weekly.
