“Lost” was a popular discussion topic at Comic-Con, and a number of tidbits broke regarding plans for the upcoming sixth and final season.
After Elizabeth Mitchell greatly hinted that her Juliet character would return in some capacity for the sixth season, Ian Somerhalder, now a regular on The CW’s “The Vampire Diaries,” also noted that his Boone will be back on the show.
“I think it’s safe to say… we sort of discussed that… it’s truly incredible that… I am going to be coming back,” said Somerhalder, according to Hollywood Insider.
Joined by fellow showrunner Carlton Cuse at the event, Damon Lindelof added, “There’s a good chance you’ll be seeing many characters you haven’t seen since the first season.” Though neither meets the “first season” criteria, both Dominic Monaghan’s Charlie and Jeremy Davies’ Daniel Faraday are expected to make final season appearances.
Regarding flashbacks and flashforwards, Lindelof said that the final season will employ a different strategy to tell the story’s culmination.
