Upcoming Changes To SmackDown, How Undertaker Fits In

Though Jeff Hardy is not committed to WWE past the end of the month, the company has been working to secure him until Undertaker returns to the ring. The brand is presently short on top babyfaces, and Jeff Hardy’s impending departure will lead to a significant main-event imbalance on SmackDown.

Noteworthy to the future of the brand is the fact that both Undertaker and Rey Mysterio do not work full-time road schedules. That explains John Morrison’s recent success on television, as the feeling internally is that WWE needs to boost his stock in order to produce a top live-event draw on the babyface side.
