WWE has officially postponed Monday’s SmackDown! and ECW brand house show; its live events calendar reveals that the show, scheduled for Valpariso, Indiana, has been moved to August 30. It has also been changed to a RAW brand event.
Though WWE has not officially confirmed the specific reason for the delay (though PWTorch.com says WWE has announced “scheduling conflicts”), the impression is that WWE has instead called some SmackDown! and ECW talent to this week’s RAW–such wrestlers will likely be utilized on the commercial-free edition of the telecast.
On the subject of the Donald Trump storyline, USA Network sent out a clarification press release today, noting that the network “intended the release to be promotional for that ongoing story arc on the series. There is no such actual ‘sale’.” A number of reputable financial and entertainment websites treated the announcement as fact, spurring USA’s correction release.
