Two bits of news emerged Tuesday concerning “American Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert, and neither carries the shock and surprise of his loss to Kris Allen last month.
The first piece, officially announced by 19 Entertainment, says that Lambert has inked a recording deal with 19 Recordings and RCA Records. The album will release in fall 2009, after Lambert has concluded his duties on the “American Idol” tour this summer.
Additionally, Lambert officially came out as homosexual in his heavily-hyped Rolling Stone interview. “I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay,” says Lambert. “I’m proud of my sexuality. I embrace it. It’s just another part of me.”
