The wave of “24” casting developments had one more revelation to offer before it hit the shore. Its latest announcement now rounds out the major cast acquisitions for the show’s upcoming eighth season.
According to THR, the final major casting slot went to “Battlestar Galactica” alum Katee Sackhoff. Sackhoff scored the role of Dana Walsh after weeks of on-again, off-again negotiations with producers.
Walsh serves as a talented CTU analyst with a mysterious past. The character has a relationship with CTU agent Davis Cole (played by Freddie Prinze, Jr.).
Set in New York City, the eighth season bows in early 2010.
