Rapper Eminem returned to the top of the charts with “Relapse,” his first full-length studio since 2004’s “Encore.”
The album tops the Billboard 200 with 608,000 sales, marking the best sales week for an album since October’s “Black Ice” release from AC/DC.
The strong chart performance was not, however, a record-setter for Eminem; his “Encore” posted an opening week of 711,000.
Other notable chart debuts included Kenny Chesney’s “Greatest Hits II” (#3, 89,000), Method Man and Redman’s “Blackout! 2” (#4, 63,000), Dane Cook’s “ISolated INcident” (#5, 61,000), Busta Rhymes’ “Back on my BS” (#6, 59,000), Tori Amos’ “Abnormally Attracted to Sin” (#9, 41,000) and Kate Voegele’s “A Fine Mess” (#10, 37,000).
Green Day’s “21st Century Breakdown” slipped to second this week, earning 166,000 for its first full week in stores.
