Since very early in the competition, the public backed Nene Royal as the likely winner of “America’s Got Talent” season twenty-one.
After another epic performance on night one of the finale — this time a cover of “Seven Nation Army” — the vocal and guitar powerhouse sealed that destiny.
Nene was named the winner during Wednesday night’s final episode. Prior to receiving the good news and associated $1 million prize, she performed with Linkin Park.
Magician Geno Ploeger placed second in the competition, while synchronized illusion act Hundred Fingers finished in third.
Royal Lasers and Veronika Goroshkova joined those three acts as grand-finalists.
