The video received 29.2 million views during the August 29-September 4 tracking period, yielding the first-place finish on the chart.

With views from other eligible uploads included, “Tears” generated 34.2 million total YouTube plays during the tracking period. That fuels a #5 bow on the Global YouTube Songs chart; the Carpenter song additionally ranks as the chart’s top new entry.

Across her overall discography, Carpenter received 104.4 million YouTube plays during the tracking period. The count yields a re-entry at #28 on the Global YouTube Artists Chart.
