Chris Brown’s “Summer Too Hot” Headed For #1 On Rhythmic Radio Chart

“Summer Too Hot” will rise to #1 on this week’s rhythmic listing.

Rhythmic radio will likely crown a new #1 this week, as Chris Brown’s “Summer Too Hot” is set to move into the pinnacle position on this week’s Mediabase chart for the format.

The Chris Brown single received 2,240 spins during the first three days of the September 3-9 tracking period. Up 3% from the count at this point last week, the tally slots “Summer Too Hot” at #1 on Mediabase’s building/real-time rhythmic chart.

Although “Summer Too Hot” only boasts an eighteen-spin lead over Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice & Aqua’s building #2 “Barbie World,” it has the clear momentum advantage. Whereas it is up 3% from last week’s mark, the “Barbie” soundtrack single is down 12%.

Those contrasting trajectories suggest that “Summer Too Hot” is in good position to retain its position through the close of tracking.

Measuring the September 3-9 tracking period, the official chart will arrive on September 10.
