The breakout artist is meanwhile responsible for this week’s two biggest airplay gainers at the hot adult contemporary format.
Rodrigo’s “deja vu” ranks as the format’s top airplay gainer. The song, which rises one spot to #17 on this week’s Mediabase Hot AC chart, received 2,069 spins during the June 13-19 tracking period. The count tops last week’s mark by a format-leading 338 plays.
The aforementioned “good 4 u” ranks as the format’s #2 gainer; its tracking period spin count of 722 tops last week’s mark by 328 plays. “Good 4 u” rises eight spots to #25 on this week’s Hot AC listing.
Rodrigo has proven to be a force at both pop and hot adult contemporary radio since breaking through earlier this year. Her debut single “drivers license” enjoyed multi-week stints at #1 on both formats’ airplay charts.
