Taylor Swift Announces That “Red” Will Be Next Re-Recorded Album; “Taylor’s Version” Will Arrive On November 19 With 30 Songs

Taylor Swift has announced her next “Taylor’s Version” album.

Based on the including of “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” in the trailer for “Spirit Untamed,” many fans assumed that Taylor Swift would be releasing “1989” as her next re-recorded album.

That assumption proved incorrect, as Swift announced Friday that the next album she will be releasing is “Red (Taylor’s Version).”

The new take on Swift’s beloved 2012 album will consist of “all 30 songs that were meant to go on ‘Red'” (presumably the full set of original tracks, plus a handful of bonus tracks and/or rarities). Swift’s announcement adds that one of the songs is ten minutes long; the assumption is that she is referring to the 10-minute version of widely acclaimed album standout “All Too Well.”

Swift’s statement does not include any additional specifics, but she does note that she experimented with “different sounds and collaborators.”

“Red” follows the recently launched “Fearless” as Swift’s second “Taylor’s Version” re-recording. In the coming months/years, Swift will be releasing new versions for each of her first six albums.

The statement follows:
