Projections For Polo G’s “Hall Of Fame” Downgraded; US Album Race Tighter Than Expected

“Hall Of Fame” will not do as well as first projected.

Based on its opening day performance, Hits Daily Double expected Polo G’s “Hall Of Fame” to close the week with 165-175K US consumption units.

The publication has since downgraded its projection. Hits now says the album will move about 135K units during the June 11-17 tracking period. About 2.5K will come from album sales, with the rest attributable to track sales and streams (primarily streams).

“Hall Of Fame” is still tracking as the week’s leader, but the race is much closer than it was this weekend. Projected for 126K (7.5K from sales), Migos’ “Culture III” is realistically within striking distance of #1. Olivia Rodrigo’s holdover “SOUR” (120K, 13K from sales) could even be a contender if it slightly overperforms and the new hip-hop releases slightly underperform.

Hits will announce this week’s Hits Top 50 chart leader on Friday; Billboard will then share its Billboard 200 champion on Sunday.
