Weezer’s “Van Weezer” Reaches #1 On US iTunes Album Sales Chart

Jack Ingram, Miranda Lambert & Jon Randall’s “The Marfa Tapes” is also selling well.

Weezer’s long-awaited “Van Weezer” finally arrived at midnight late Thursday/early Friday, and it found an immediate audience on iTunes.

The new album quickly reached #1 on the US store’s all-genre album sales chart. It remains atop the listing as of press time at 1:15AM ET Friday morning.

Jack Ingram, Miranda Lambert & Jon Randall’s “The Marfa Tapes,” another new release, directly follows at #2 on the chart.

DJ Khaled’s “KHALED KHALED,” one of last week’s big albums, occupies the #3 spot at press time. Radio Company’s new “Vol. 2” follows at #4, and Thomas Rhett’s “Country Again (Side A)” sits at #5.
