Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” Reaches 9x Platinum In US; Normani Collaboration Earns 3x Platinum Award

Sam Smith received a myriad of RIAA certifications this week.

Several Sam Smith singles earned new RIAA certifications this week; the list includes their Grammy-winning smash “Stay With Me” and the Normani collaboration “Dancing With A Stranger.”

According to the RIAA, “Stay With Me” officially hit 9x platinum in the US this week. The award confirms at least 9 million in US units, with each equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

Smith also received RIAA awards for “Too Good At Goodbyes” (5x platinum, 5 million), “Dancing With A Stranger” (3x platinum, 3 million), “How Do You Sleep” (1x platinum, 1 million), “Palace’ (gold, 500K), “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” (gold, 500K), “I’ve Told You Now” (gold, 500K) and “Fire On Fire” (gold, 500K).

The RIAA now officially credits Smith with 37 million in certified US single units (as a lead and/or formally credited award recipient).
