Luke Combs’ “What You See Is What You Get” unsurprisingly wins this week’s US album sales and consumption races.
According to Hits Daily Double, the album debuted with 114.5K in US album sales. With units from track sales and streams included, it generated 177K in total first-week consumption.
Easily enough for #1 on the sales and consumption charts, the figures make for the biggest single-week total for a country album in 2019.
“What You See,” moreover, delivers the all-time largest streaming week for a country album. Hits credits the album with 57K in streaming equivalent album units; no other country album had even hit 40K in a single week.
Due Sunday, Billboard’s data may differ slightly from that reported by Hits. The end result will still be the same — “What You See Is What You Get” will debut at #1 with the biggest album total of 2019 and biggest streaming week in country history.
