Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now” Received Big Opening Night Pop Radio Airplay

Pop radio gave a warm welcome to the new Dua Lipa song.

Dua Lipa’s new single “Don’t Start Now” arrived on the evening of Thursday, October 31, and pop radio quickly started providing support.

Dozens of stations provided hourly airplay from launch until late in the night. Due to the time zone factor, it naturally received its biggest support from two west coast stations.

According to Mediabase, San Francisco’s WiLD 94.9 ranked as the top supporter among US pop stations. It had played “Don’t Start Now” 8 times by the close of Thursday.

Los Angeles’ 102.7 KIIS FM, the #2 supporter, offered 7 spins.

Other opening night leaders included Phoenix’s 104.7 KIIS FM (6 spins) and Des Moines’ 107.5 KISS FM (6 spins). Many other stations provided between 1-5 spins.
