Camila Cabello’s “Never Be The Same” Wins Song Of Year At 2019 BMI London Awards

“Never Be The Same” was a Top 10 hit in the United Kingdom.

Ed Sheeran won the BMI London Award for Song of the Year in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

A new winner emerged in 2019: Camila Cabello.

Cabello won for her international hit “Never Be The Same.” Featured on her debut album “Camila,” the track hit #7 on the Official UK Singles Chart.

According to BMI, the Robert S Musel Song of the Year honor “is given to the most performed song of the previous year by UK or European writers in the BMI catalogue.”

Cabello shares the award with “Never Be The Same” co-writers Noonie Bao, Frank Dukes and Sasha Sloan.

— In addition to picking up Song of the Year, Cabello earned London Pop Award honors for “Never Be The Same” and “Crying In The Club.”
