Craig Morgan’s “The Father, My Son, And The Holy Ghost” Returns To Top 5 On iTunes Following “Kelly Clarkson Show”

The powerful Craig Morgan song flies up the US iTunes sales chart.

A performance during Thursday’s “Kelly Clarkson Show” sent Craig Morgan’s “The Father, My Son, And The Holy Ghost” flying back into the upper reaches of the US iTunes sales chart.

As of press time at 9:30PM ET Thursday night, the song is #5 on the all-genre chart. It is #2 on the country listing, trailing only Dan + Shay & Justin Bieber’s “10,000 Hours.”

A touching tribute to his son Jerry, who died in a tubing accident three years ago, Morgan’s “The Father, My Son, And The Holly Ghost” has received raves within the industry.

Blake Shelton emerged as a top supporter several weeks ago, noting that he would gladly give up his spot at country radio to make way for the song. He also asked his fans to buy the song on iTunes, and they did — sending the song to #1 on the listing.

Shelton appeared with Morgan on Thursday’s “Kelly.”
