“High School Musical” will launch on three TV networks before starting on Disney+.

Ahead of its bow on the new Disney+ streaming service, the eagerly anticipated “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” will premiere on three Disney-owned TV stations.

ABC, Freeform and Disney Channel will all carry the series premiere on November 8 at 8PM EST. “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” will subsequently head to the new Disney+ streaming service, which launches on November 12.

The 10-episode series follows ten new characters – Nini, Ricky, Gina, E.J., Ashlyn, Kourtney, Carlos, Big Red, Miss Jenn and Mr. Mazzara – at East High in Utah.

“Through the course of 10 episodes, these characters count down from auditions to opening night of their school’s first-ever production of ‘High School Musical: The Musical,'” teases the Disney press release. “They have budding romances, faltering friendships and harsh rivalries as they experience the transformative power that only high school theater can provide.”
