Ratings: All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite Dominates WWE NXT In Ratings Battle

AEW: Dynamite topped WWE NXT in the head-to-head race.

The series premiere of TNT’s All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite delivered solid ratings Wednesday night.

More importantly, it markedly won the head-to-head competition with USA’s WWE NXT broadcast.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s AEW premiere drew a 0.68 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 1.41 million overall viewers. NXT scored a 0.32 rating and averaged 0.89 million viewers.

The comparison is not apples-to-apples for a number of reasons, and the gap between the shows may close if curiosity over the comparatively new AEW fades. Still, it is impossible to dispute that Wednesday’s outing was a great one for the new TNT wrestling series.

“Dynamite” actually ranked as Wednesday’s #2 cable broadcast in adults 18-49. Its demo rating, moreover, is not too dissimilar from what WWE’s high-profile SmackDown! drew during its run on USA.
