Tony Shalhoub Wins Emmy Award For Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series

The “Mrs. Maisel” star won the Best Supporting Actor trophy.

The first award was just distributed during the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony.

It went to Tony Shalhoub.

The veteran actor won the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series trophy for his work in “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.” Shalhoub beat out Alan Arkin (The Kominsky Method), Tony Hale (Veep), Henry Winkler (Barry), Stephen Root (Barry) and Anthony Carrigan (Barry).

“Maisel” is up for numerous other awards at Sunday’s ceremony, including Outstanding Comedy Series.
