In an utterly unsurprising outcome, Bill Hader won his second consecutive Primetime Emmy Award in a Comedy Series.
Hader again won for his critically acclaimed turn on HBO’s “Barry.”
Hader beat out Anthony Anderson (black-ish), Ted Danson (The Good Place), Michael Douglas (The Kominsky Method), Don Cheadle (Black Monday) and Eugene Levy (Schitt’s Creek) to earn his second consecutive award.
“Barry” was up for a myriad of awards at Sunday’s ceremony. While it lost in several earlier races, including Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Writing and Directing, it is still up for Outstanding Comedy Series.
