Taylor Swift’s “Lover” Headed For Top 40 At Pop & Hot AC Radio This Week

“Lover” is the new single – and it’s set to debut on this week’s radio charts.

Even without official confirmation that it was her new single, Taylor Swift’s “Lover” reached the Top 50 at pop radio last week. It nearly got there at Hot AC radio.

With it single status confirmed, it should hit the Top 40 at both formats this week.

“Lover” received 1,122 pop spins and 194 Hot AC spins during the first six days of the September 1-7 tracking period. The counts position “Lover” at #34 and #39 on the building pop and Hot AC charts, respectively.

Given the rapid rate at which it is gaining airplay, it will doubtfully have trouble remaining in the Top 40 through the close of tracking.

— With “Lover” officially launching as the new single, Swift’s previous radio release “You Need To Calm Down” has begun to lose airplay at pop. It has, however, posted a week-over-week gain at Hot AC.
