Simon Cowell Criticizes Billie Eilish Songs During “America’s Got Talent”

“you should see me in a crown” and “bad guy” evidently do not have Simon Cowell’s approval.

Billie Eilish has emerged as one of the biggest names in music, and her song “bad guy” just hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Not everyone, however, is on board with the artist’s unique brand of pop. Simon Cowell criticized two Billie Eilish songs while judging performances on Tuesday’s “America’s Got Talent.”

The criticism first came following contortionist Marina Mazepa’s routine, which was set to Eilish’s “you should see me in a crown.”

“I hated the music,” said Cowell, who also felt that Mazepa’s otherwise acclaimed routine “got boring.”

Later, Cowell levied another musical criticism against Light Balance Kids, who performed a light-up dance routine to Eilish’s “bad guy” and Jonas Brothers’ “Sucker.”

“I didn’t like the music,” said Cowell, prior to criticizing other aspects of the performance.

When fellow judge Howie Mandel confronted Cowell about his stance on Billie Eilish (“how could you not like the Billie Eilish song”), Cowell offered a dismissive facial reaction.
