Slipknot’s “We Are Not Your Kind” Wins US Sales Race, Earns #1 On Overall Album Chart

The new Slipknot album predictably debuts at #1.

Slipknot scores its third career #1 album as “We Are Not Your Kind” convincingly wins the US sales and consumption races.

According to Hits Daily Double, the album sold 102K pure copies during the August 9-15 tracking period. With units from track sales and streams included, it generated nearly 116K in first-week consumption.

More than 5x better than that of the #2 album, the pure sales total positions “We Are Not Your Kind” as a dominant #1 on the Hits album chart. The week’s best by more than 40K units, the consumption figure yields a #1 bow on the Hits Top 50 chart.

Due Sunday, Billboard’s data may differ slightly from that reported by Hits. The discrepancy will not, however, affect the overall outcome. “We Are Not Your Kind” will also top the Billboard Top Album Sales (pure sales) and Billboard 200 (consumption) charts.
