Pop Radio Moves: Billie Eilish May Challenge For #1, Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello Going Top 5

“bad guy” and “Señorita” could make big moves on this week’s pop radio chart.

Two of the hottest songs on the planet may make big moves on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

Billie Eilish’s “bad guy” will contend for #1 on the listing, in the process becoming the artist’s first pop radio chart-topper. Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello’s “Señorita” is meanwhile a near-lock for a Top 5 position.

“bad guy” received 5,252 spins during the first two days of the August 4-10 tracking period. The count puts “bad guy” within striking distance of Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber’s chart-topping “I Don’t Care,” which received 5,269 spins within that window.

“bad guy,” moreover, has the momentum advantage — it is up 3.5% versus last week, while “I Don’t Care” is up a lesser 0.5%. If both songs remain on their current trajectories, “bad guy” should be able to take over by the end of tracking.

“Señorita” already holds #5 on the building/real-time chart. It received 4,299 spins during the opening days of the tracking period, marking a massive 26% gain over last week’s count. Even if it slows down slightly as the week continues, it looks like a safe bet to secure a Top 5 ranking.

The official pop radio chart will arrive Sunday.
