Chance The Rapper’s “Big Day” Pacing For #1 With Upgraded Projections; NF’s “The Search” Headed For #2

“The Big Day” has built a lead over NF’s “The Search.”

As of Saturday night, Chance The Rapper’s “The Big Day” and NF’s “The Search” looked to be in a tight race for #1 on the US album chart. Early projections had the former debuting with 110-125K in first-week US consumption units; “The Search” was on track for 80-90K.

As of Monday evening, Chance’s album has built a clearer lead.

According to Hits Daily Double, “The Big Day” is now projected to generate 110-125K US units this week. About 24-27K will come from pure sales, with the other stemming from track sales and streams.

“The Search” is pacing toward a #2 debut in the 85-95K range. It will, however, markedly outperform “The Big Day” on the pure sales front (current projection is 50-55K).

Headline Planet will share an update if there is another notable revision to this week’s outlook.
