As her “My Type” continues to make waves, Saweetie makes another splash on Billboard’s key artist charts.
The artist notably debuts at #96 on this week’s edition of the Billboard Artist 100. A definitive ranking of the top artists in America, the chart accounts for factors like album sales, song consumption and social media activity.
Saweetie meanwhile soars to a new peak of #3 on the Billboard Emerging Artists chart, which uses the same methodology but exclusively features artists who have yet to score a major hit on the album or song charts.
Granted, “My Type” is quickly moving toward “hit” status. It jumps twenty places to a new peak of #47 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The success of the song also propels Saweetie’s “ICY” EP onto the Billboard 200 at #192.
