Ratings: “Big Little Lies” Season Finale Sets New Viewership High; “Euphoria” Falls Slightly

Sunday’s “Big Little Lies” was the most-watched episode yet.

The second season finale of HBO’s “Big Little Lies” set a new series high in live+same-day television viewership.

According to L+SD data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s “Big Little Lies” drew a 0.50 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 1.98 million viewers.

While the demo rating is well off the 0.66 rating drawn by last season’s finale, the viewership figure eclipses that broadcast’s 1.86 million (which had, up until this week, marked the show’s best number).

Sunday’s “Big Little Lies” episode was, moreover, up notably from last week’s broadcast. The penultimate episode drew a 0.39 in the demo and 1.63 million in viewership.

— “Big Little Lies” led into the sixth installment of “Euphoria,” which drew a 0.20 in the demo and 0.57 million in viewership. The numbers narrowly trail the 0.21 rating and 0.58 million viewer mark drawn last week.

Both shows will receive big lifts from DVR, streaming, and on-demand viewership.
