Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber’s “I Don’t Care” Heads For #1 At Pop & Hot AC Radio

“I Don’t Care” will reach #1 in conjunction with the release of “No. 6 Collaborations Project.”

As Ed Sheeran’s “No 6. Collaborations Project” heads toward #1 on the US album chart, the lead single moves toward #1 at two key radio formats.

As it currently stands, Sheeran & Justin Bieber’s “I Don’t Care” is pacing to reach #1 on this week’s Mediabase pop and hot adult contemporary radio charts.

“I Don’t Care,” which received 7,797 spins during the first three days of the July 14-20 tracking period, is already #1 on the building/real-time pop chart. Its spin count tops the same-time-last-week mark by 7%.

As it does not face any imminent threat, “I Don’t Care” should have no trouble retaining its #1 position through the close of tracking.

The song is meanwhile #2 on the building/real-time Hot AC chart, but it is definitely knocking on the door. “I Don’t Care” trails Jonas Brothers’ building #1 “Sucker” by a mere seven spins, and insofar as it has the momentum advantage (it is up 5%, while “Sucker” is up by less than 1%), it should be able to reach #1 by the close of tracking.
