Katy Perry’s “Never Really Over” Posts Weak Pop Radio Callouts

The new song is not clicking with pop radio listeners.

Katy Perry’s “Never Really Over” is approaching the Top 10 on the pop radio airplay chart, but it is not receiving a warm reception from the format’s listeners.

Per the latest Mediabase/Critical Mass Media callout report, which is based on a survey of listeners, “Never Really Over” is one of the format’s worst-scoring songs.

“Never Really Over” boasts a positive reaction from 44.5% of listeners, a negative reaction from 27.6% of listeners and thus a “net positive” score of 16.9%. It has a favorite rating from 11.4%.

Of the 20 songs in this week’s report, “Never Really Over” has the lowest positive score, the fourth-worst (highest) negative score, the lowest net positive score and the lowest favorite rating.
