Ahead of its official upfront presentation, NBC formally ordered “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist” to series.
The musical series stars Jane Levy as Zoey, a computer coder who begins to hear the innermost thoughts of others through song. After initially questioning her sanity, she begins to embrace the situation as a blessing.
Skylar Astin, Peter Gallagher, Alex Newell, John Clarence Stewart, Carmen Cusack and Mary Steenburgen also appear in the series, which was created by Austin Winsberg (“Jake In Progress”).
NBC’s official 2019-20 upfront presentation will take place on Monday, May 13.
