Shawn Mendes’ “If I Can’t Have You” Erupts As Pop Radio’s Most Added Song

“If I Can’t Have You” convincingly ranks as pop radio’s most added song.

Upon impacting last week, Taylor Swift’s “ME! (featuring Brendon Urie)” won support from the full panel of 184 Mediabase-monitored pop stations.

This week, Shawn Mendes’ “If I Can’t Have You” achieves the same feat.

Easily the week’s most added song, “If I Can’t Have You” ties “ME!” for the third-greatest single-week add total of the modern era. Only Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” (187) and Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop The Feeling” (186) received more adds in a single Mediabase reporting period; both songs, obviously, had the benefiting of launching when the pop panel had slightly more stations.

Added by 33 stations this week, Billie Eilish’s “bad guy” takes second place on the add board.

BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” follows in third with adds from 26 stations, while a count of 16 slots MAX’s “Love Me Less (featuring Quinn XCII)” in fourth.

Each added by 15 stations, Khalid’s “Talk” and Juice WRLD’s “Hear Me Calling” tie for fifth.

This week’s other notable pop radio options: Daddy Yankee & Katy Perry’s “Con Calma (featuring Snow)” (7th-most), Martin Garrix’s “Summer Days (featuring Macklemore & Patrick Stump)” (8th-most), Panic! At The Disco’s “Hey Look Ma, I Made It” (9th-most), Lizzo’s “Juice” (10th-most, tie), Bazzi’s “Paradise” (10th-most, tie), and Bryce Vine’s “La La Land (featuring YG)” (10th-most, tie).
