To say Taylor Swift’s “ME! (featuring Brendon Urie)” received a warm welcome from pop radio would be an understatement.
A whopping 184 Mediabase-monitored pop stations added “ME!” in conjunction with this week’s official impact. The count represents the #3 total ever recorded in the Mediabase era. Only Swift’s own “Look What You Made Me Do” (187) and Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop The Feeling” (186) received more adds in a single reporting period.
And because the size and makeup of the Mediabase pop panel changes from time to time, stressing over the comparison is rather futile. There is but one takeaway: “ME!” picked up an immense amount of opening week support. It obviously ranks as the week’s most added song.
Martin Garrix’s new “Summer Days (featuring Macklemore & Patrick Stump)” follows in second place with 48 adds. Billie Eilish’s “bad guy,” which landed at 37 new stations, grabs third place on the add board.
Daddy Yankee & Katy Perry’s “Con Calma (featuring Snow)” takes fourth place with 33 adds. Each picked up by 26 stations, Khalid’s “Talk” and Juice WRLD’s “Hear Me Calling” tie for fifth.
This week’s other notable pop radio options: Dan + Shay’s “Speechless” (7th-most, tie), Lizzo’s “Juice” (7th-most, tie), BTS’ “Boy With Luv (featuring Halsey)” (9th-most), and MAX’s “Love Me Less (featuring Quinn XCII)” (10th-most).
