Taylor Swift’s “ME! (featuring Brendon Urie)” predictably posted mammoth opening day airplay numbers at pop and hot adult contemporary radio.
According to Mediabase, the new single had received 2,992 pop radio spins by the end of Friday, April 26. It had meanwhile amassed 1,081 spins at the hot adult contemporary format.
The pop count positions “ME!” at #26 on the Mediabase building pop chart, which ranks songs based on airplay received during the first six days of the April 21-27 tracking period. “ME!” meanwhile takes #23 on the building Hot AC chart.
The impressive figures actually top the mammoth opening day marks for Swift’s previous lead single “Look What You Made Me Do.” Released in the summer of 2017, that single closed its first day with 2,858 pop plays and 1,046 Hot AC spins.
“ME!” received hourly first day airplay from many pop and hot adult contemporary stations; some played it even more frequently than once per hour.
