BTS’ new single “Boy With Luv (featuring Halsey)” enjoyed a big opening day at pop radio.
According to Mediabase, the song had registered 850 pop radio spins by the end of Friday, April 12. The impressive opening day spin count by far ranks as the biggest ever achieved by a BTS song.
The count, moreover, positions “Boy With Luv” at #39 on the Mediabase building/real-time chart, which ranks songs based on airplay received during the first six days of the April 7-13 tracking period.
The impressive opening day included hourly airplay campaigns from a myriad of pop stations, including the entire Entercom network and numerous iHeartMedia stations. “Boy With Luv” will not receive that caliber of support on Saturday.
It nonetheless still has a chance of retaining its Top 40 position through the close of tracking. It will definitely remain well inside the Top 50.
