Billie Eilish, whose development has made for one of the most exciting stories in music, released her debut studio album “WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?” on Friday.

Based on opening day performance, it is on track to post strong first-week numbers.

According to Hits Daily Double, the album should sell 145-155K pure US copies this week. With units from track sales and streams included, it may generate 245-265K in first-week consumption.

Assuming the figures hold, the album is a sure bet for #1 on this week’s album sales and consumption charts.

In addition to mammoth industry buzz, the album benefited from a performance on Thursday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Eilish will next promote the release on Monday’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
