Barring a sudden (and highly unlikely) collapse, Ariana Grande’s “7 rings” is headed for #1 at pop radio. It actually stands a chance of getting there this week.
“7 rings” received just over 4800 Mediabase-monitored pop spins during the first two days of the March 3-9 tracking period. Up 10% from the count at this point last week, the tally slots “7 rings” at #3 on Mediabase’s building/real-time pop chart.
The 10% week-over-week increase, however, suggests “7 rings” can reach #1 before the chart goes final. Halsey’s building #1 is down just over 1% from the count at this point last week, while Benny Blanco, Halsey & Khalid’s building #2 is down 5%. If all three songs remain on their current trajectories, “7 rings” will claim #1 on this week’s final chart.
And even if it falls short of #1 this week, it would be in great position to make the leap to #1 on next week’s listing.
“7 rings” is vying to become Grande’s seventh #1 at pop radio.
