Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings” Likely Headed For Top 3 At Pop Radio

“7 rings” could reach the Top 3 on this week’s pop radio chart.

The launch of follow-up “break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored” is not slowing down Ariana Grande’s “7 rings.”

The song was last week’s greatest airplay gainer at pop radio. This week, it may blast all the way into the Top 3.

“7 rings” received 2,121 spins during the first day of the February 24-March 2 tracking period. Up 16.2% from the count at this point last week, the tally slots “7 rings” at #3 on Mediabase’s building chart.

Because the week is young and because Sunday airplay can be particularly erratic, it is too early to guarantee a Top 3 ranking for “7 rings.” The prospects of that outcome nonetheless look quite good.

Neither Post Malone & Swae Lee’s building #4 “Sunflower” (2,063 spins, -3%) nor Grande’s own “thank u, next” (1,981, -2%) has upward momentum. As such, even if “7 rings” cannot sustain its +16% growth all week, it has a good chance of staying ahead of those two songs.
