In the epitome of an unsurprising outcome, “Shallow” won the Oscar for Best Original Song.
The award was given to songwriters Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando & Andrew Wyatt during Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony.
Gaga performs the song with her “A Star Is Born” co-star Bradley Cooper.
Other nominated songs included “When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings,” “I’ll Fight,” “All The Stars,” and “The Place Where Lost Things Go.”
“A Star Is Born” is still in contention for several upcoming awards, including Best Actress, Best Actor and Best Picture.
