Sunday’s Grammy Premiere Ceremony revealed the winners for Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Song.
Two went to Kacey Musgraves, while the other brought Dan + Shay onto the stage.
Musgraves’ “Butterflies” won for Solo Performance. Her performance beat out “Wouldn’t It Be Great,” “Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters,” “Parallel Line,” and “Millionaire.”
She meanwhile took home the Country Song award (along with co-writers Luke Laird and Shane McAnally) for “Space Cowboy.” Other song nominees included “Dear Hate,” “Break Up In The End,” “Tequila,” “I Lived It,” and “When Someone Stops Loving You.”
“Tequila” was not victorious in the Song category, but it did yield Dan + Shay the Best Country Duo/Group honor. Other nominees included “When Someone Stops Loving You,” “Dear Hate,” “Shoot Me Straight,” and “Meant To Be.”
