Backstreet Boys’ “DNA” Dominates US Sales Race, Will Claim #1 On Billboard 200

“DNA” conquers this week’s US album charts.

Backstreet Boys’ “DNA” unsurprisingly dominated this week’s US album sales and consumption races.

According to Hits Daily Double and BuzzAngle, the album sold about 229K pure US copies during the January 25-31 tracking period.

With units from track sales and streams included, it generated about 236K in total first-week consumption units.

Although Billboard’s more authoritative data may differ slightly, the end result will be the same. The pure sales total will earn “DNA” #1 on the Top Album Sales chart, while the consumption figure will result in a #1 bow on the Billboard 200.

In addition to the enthusiasm one would expect for a new BSB album, “DNA” benefited from a concert ticket-album bundle. Albums redeemed as part of the bundle counted toward the pure sales total.
