Three Billie Eilish Songs Went Gold In December

“when the party’s over,” copycat,” and “my boy” picked up RIAA certifications.

As interest in Billie Eilish continues to skyrocket, the artist picks up new digital song certifications in the United States.

According to the RIAA, three Eilish tracks attained gold status during December 2018.

“when the party’s over,” one of her recent releases, received the honor on December 11. “copycat” and “my boy” each reached gold on December 5.

A gold single certification confirms 500,000 in US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“don’t smile at me,” the EP on which the latter two songs appear, also received a gold award from the RIAA on December 5 (though it is listed as a “single” on the RIAA website). A gold album award confirms 500,000 in US units, with each equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.

Four other Billie Eilish songs — “lovely” (platinum), “ocean eyes” (platinum), “idontwannabeyouanymore” (gold) and “bellyache” (gold) — received RIAA certifications earlier this year.
